The executive director of the Center for Japanese Legal Studies is Mr. Nobuhisa “Nobu” Ishizuka CC’82, LAW’86, former managing partner of Skadden’s Tokyo office.

Each year, under the guidance of Mr. Ishizuka, the Center attracts a rich array of scholars and visiting professors from Japan. Some of these visitors remain in residence for extended periods. In addition to fostering meaningful collaboration with faculty and students, these visitors also participate as experts in events on cutting-edge legal issues.
